Social media is likely one of the first places your target  audience may find and engage with your brand. As a freelancer who specializes in a particular service, it is important that you are clear and authentic on social media - giving your brand an opportunity to create impactful and lucrative connections with others. Whether you are a social media novice or an expert, this five-session intensive workshop will help you develop the story, language, tone, and voice for your brand so that your message attracts and resonates with the right people. *Attendance is mandatory for all sessions*

Key learning outcomes include: 

  • Identifying which mediums are best for your brand 
  • Communicating effectively across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Using social media to enhance your overall marketing strategy

Session 1: Discovering who you are and writing your story (8/1)

You can’t make connections with people on social media if you don’t know who you are or what you should say. You need a clear message to get people on board with your brand. If you’re struggling to get followers or engagement,then you may not be expressing your brand clearly enough. 

 

Session 2: Translating your story into social media content (8/8)

Now that you’re clear on who you are, what you have to offer, why people should follow you, and what they’re going to gain from being connected with you on social media, we’re going to strategize a content plan that creates trust and positions your brand as a dependable resource. 

Session 3: Testing your content for authenticity (8/15)

We’ll put your strategy into action and start analyzing the results it’s getting you. Is what you’re saying on social media bringing in the right kind of audience? Are people confused about what you do? Or have you attracted an entirely new audience that you haven’t considered marketing to—but want to reach more of? Once we see how your content performs, we’ll create an even more targeted strategy that helps you get results you’re happy with over a longer period of time. 

Session 4: Creating your signature content (8/22)

Now that we’re seeing what works, and eliminating what doesn’t, we’re going to build on your success by developing a signature piece of content that your brand is known for and that your audience loves. This will help raise your brand awareness and create deeper resonance with your audience. We’ll develop a content calendar for this signature content, which will help you plan ahead and stay consistent, keeping your audience’s trust in your brand strong. 

 

Session 5: Combining social media with your other marketing methods (8/29)

Whether you do a lot of online marketing, rely on in-person marketing, or do no other marketing at all, we’ll work on connecting your social media marketing methods with other areas that people engage with your brand. This will help you create a stronger marketing machine that works for you, and makes the most out of your newly refined social media presence.
